Car Christmas Gifts

7 Practical Christmas Gifts for Car Lovers

Last year, Automotive Training Center (ATC) brought you 10 great auto stocking stuffers for the auto lovers and everyday drivers closest to you. This season, we came back to add a few picks that car enthusiasts and new car owners would be excited to see under the tree. Check them out below!

  1. GPS system: Chances are you have motorist family members who are directional whizzes and others who shudder at the thought of navigating outside their familiar daily routes. Especially for that second set mentioned, and when it comes to taking long road trips, a GPS can be an ally in getting you where you need to go on time.
  2. Smartphone mount: Those who prefer relying on Google Maps or other navigation programs that run through their smartphones may like a phone mount that can prop up their devices in view. These are fairly inexpensive and help cell phone map users maintain a hands-on-the-wheel approach to their navigation.
  3. Satellite radio subscription: Music lovers who drive a newer car model equipped with satellite compatible radio will enjoy a subscription from a provider such as SiriusXM. In funding a friend or family member’s tunes, you have a variety of different packages to choose from, many of which offer over 100 channels of listening material. These engaging programs have the power to instantly turn ho-hum daily drives into catchy commutes.
  4. Seat covers: What do cats, dogs, messy eaters, and muddy boots have in common? Getting on your car lover’s nerves for bringing dirt to a well-kept interior. Especially if small children or ride-along pets are in the equation, giving the gift of seat covers is definitely one that keeps on giving. You can find these seat-hugging lifesavers in a wide variety of colors, styles, and fabrics. There are even some that clean up easy with a quick run through the washer.
  5. All-weather floor mats: For the muddy boots in the example above, plus that mysterious seeping salt outline that has a knack for covering carpeted footwells come winter, all-weather floor mats are a must-have. WeatherTech is a good brand that laser measures mats to ensure the perfect fit for your recipient’s vehicle.
  6. Prepped car emergency kit: Your family’s vehicles should already have this practical present, but many of us are at least missing a few of these resources and tools that are important to have on hand. Create a complete kit by bundling jumper cables, bottled water, a blanket, a multi-tool, non-perishable snacks, and a first aid kit in a box that the recipient can keep in their trunk.
  7. Weather-resistant car cover: For the car collector with a garage that’s never quite big enough, a weather-resistant car cover is sure to come in handy. Look up the make, model, and year of the beaut that they currently have stationed in the cold when searching for covers to ensure the best fit.

These gifts make rides smoother, cleaner, and more enjoyable and are sure to be loved by auto enthusiasts of all ages. Happy holidays from your friends at Automotive Training Center!
