Become a Technician and Mechanic (After Graduating High School)

Have you always been the person your friends and family turn to when a vehicle is in need of repairs? Throughout your life, oil changes, tire rotations, and engine tune-ups may have been a hobby. It could be your career.

Become a mechanic after graduating high school and see everything this exciting field has to offer. It all begins with coursework at Automotive Training Center, an automotive technician and mechanic school offering classes in Exton and Warminster.

A Highly In-Demand Field

Automotive Technician and Mechanic After High School Warminster | Exton | ATCThe U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics has estimated that about 75,000 new technicians will be needed in the field each year for the next ten years to help offset retirements and meet demands for new job openings. As you can see, the automotive technician and mechanic field is expected to grow in the coming years.

College is not a fit for everyone. Trade schools have become increasingly popular over the last few years–and for good reason. You can graduate faster, hit the job market sooner, and not have as much debt as those who graduate college.

The ever-changing auto technician field now requires that technicians specialize in electrical systems and advanced technology, though there’s still plenty of value in learning how to turn a wrench.

Programs Offered at Our Automotive Technician and Mechanic School

Those who enroll at ATC have choices. There are many paths one can take to eventually become an experienced, knowledgeable auto technicians and mechanic.

The Automotive Technology program provides hands-on training, using the latest tools and procedures to understand a vehicle’s systems and parts. The main focus is on how to make repairs, diagnose issues, and keep cars in strong running shape.

ATC’s Automotive and Hi-Performance Technology program allows students to develop knowledge of engines and how to maximize performance.

We also offer Automotive and Diesel Technology, Collision Reconditioning Technology, and Marine Service Technology programs. Plus, with Automotive Technology classes available in the evening, you’re able to take classes based around your schedule at a time that may be more convenient.
