Top Spots For Off-Roading

Best Spots For Off-Roading Near Philadelphia

Off-roading is extremely exciting, whether you are a diesel technician that knows a great deal about vehicles and their inner workings or simply someone that has a passion for engines and roads. Philadelphia is a great city with numerous exciting attractions, but not everyone knows that Philadelphia is also in close proximity to some excellent off-roading spots. Here are some of the most popular locations to get some mud on your tires around Philadelphia:

Blue Diamond MX Park

Located off Route 13 in New Castle, Delaware, Blue Diamond is less than 50 miles from the city of Philadelphia. Blue Diamond features an AMA sanctioned race track and an open track for any type of bike or ATV. The site even has a pee wee track where younger riders can cut their teeth before they decide to take on the larger tracks at Blue Diamond.

Blue Diamond is open from 12PM til 6PM Wednesday through Friday and 11AM til 5PM Saturday & Sunday.

Sleepy Hollow MX Park

Sleepy Hollow is in Manheim, PA, just outside of Lancaster and roughly 87 miles from Philadelphia. Sleepy Hollow offers motorcross classes as well as spectator prices for those that want to watch races. Sleepy Hollow is affiliated or sponsored by some big names in motorcross including Honda, AMA, and ECS. The Sleepy Hollow MX web site is updated frequently with events as they are scheduled.

Sleepy Hollow is also a good place to find service for an off-roading vehicle from a diesel technician or other kind of automotive professional.

Rausch Creek Motorsports

Rausch Creek is in Valley View, PA, about 2 hours from Philadelphia. This huge destination for motorsports includes 8,500 acres that can be used by dirt bikers and ATV riders alike, making it one of the most popular off-roading locations in the northeastern US. There is also a separate park for 4×4 off-roading. If you want to stay for a while, Rausch Creek is in easy access to some local campgrounds and hotels.

Rausch Creek is an excellent place to go if you want to experience a variety of different kinds of off-roading.

You do not have to be a diesel technician to appreciate the thrill and excitement of taking a vehicle off-road. Off-roading lets drivers blaze their own path and test themselves against one of mother nature’s most challenging creations. While you may not think about a major urban center like Philadelphia as a place that is good for off-roading, there are some extremely popular spots to hit the dirt. Visit one of these off-roading destinations around the city the next time you are in the mood to take an adventure.
