Our Marine Service Technology Program

Marine Mechanic School Port Republic NJ | ATCUnlike your average 4-year college, which only has two semesters per year, the programs at our marine mechanic school start several times a year. Our Warminster campus is the exclusive home to our Marine Service Technology program. Here, you’ll find our specialized equipment designed for the marine program.

You’ll have the chance to work on Mercury Marine and Honda Marine outboard engines, along with fuel-injected inboard engines. The sterndrive units, transmissions, and gear cases are found here, too.

While you’ll be working with this equipment to perfect your skills, you’ll learn all about engine technology in the classroom, too. This is where you’ll learn about supportive systems and sub-systems. Engine knowledge is certainly key, but a well-rounded marine mechanic is well-versed in electrical, plumbing, air conditioning, and heating.

Upon graduating from our marine mechanic program, you’ll find there are entry-level positions as a marine service technician, refrigeration and air conditioning technician, electrician, or gelcoat and fiberglass repair technician. Our technicians work hard to prepare you for a rewarding career.

If you’ve always been drawn to the water or love the outdoors, then a career as a marine technician might make a lot more sense than a career as an automotive technician.

Perhaps you’ve been on a family member’s boat and that sparked your curiosity, or a friend invited you out to spend time on their watercraft. We invite you to visit us for a campus tour, where you’ll be able to speak with instructors from our programs and check out the shop.
