5 Reasons Why Graduates Love Automotive Training Center
With our hands-on training focusing on preparing you for a career in the automotive industry, we’ve helped many Automotive Training Center students become proud graduates.
Our specialized programs can provide you with the skills needed to enjoy a long career in the automotive, collision, diesel, or marine industries. Continue reading to see why graduates love ATC and how you can become the next graduate of this comprehensive automotive training school.
1. You’ll learn skills that prepare you for a career.
We believe in providing hands-on experiences, which is why you’ll spend about half your time in the classroom, but also half your time in the lab working with the equipment you’ll see in your chosen field.
This equipment may include an engine dynamometer, inboard and outboard boat engines, or a laser frame machine designed to properly restore a vehicle after a collision.
2. You can have a bright future just a short time after graduation.
We are aligned with the Auto Dealers Association of Greater Philadelphia (ADAGP). Following graduation, you may seek out employment with one of the new car and truck franchises located throughout the five-county region.
Our Career Services department offers numerous services to graduates: Contacting potential employers to set up interviews, assisting with letters of recommendation, and keeping students up-to-date on availability of employment post-graduation. Check out some of the employers who have hired ATC graduates over the years.
3. The instructors are highly knowledgeable.
Instructors become more like mentors to students at ATC, providing not just technical knowledge, but also readying you for a career and honing your people skills along the way. All instructors have industry experience prior to joining the school, with a minimum of three years of field experience.
The average experience for an ATC instructor is over 20 years. Most of the instructors are Master Certified ASE Technicians. All instructors are kept up-to-date on the latest technology in the industry, and attend regular workshops and classes to stay up on the latest trends and equipment.
4. There are many different paths to take during your education.
While a large number of students will choose to explore the Automotive Technology program to gain experience diagnosing and servicing a number of vehicle makes and models, there are other programs available at our locations.
The Diesel program can put you on the path to a career as a heavy-equipment technician, or truck or bus diesel technician. There’s also the Collision Reconditioning Technology program, where you’ll learn how to repair vehicles after they’ve been in an accident. The Marine Technology program, meanwhile, is for those who may enjoy a career on the water, working on boat engines and motors.
5. We’re here after you’ve graduated, too.
Technicians pursuing training, certification, or re-certification can contact us for class times and program information. We are sanctioned by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Department of Transportation to provide the Safety Inspection Mechanic Training Program and Emissions Inspector Certification and Re-Certification programs.
