We strive to instill values like professionalism, confidence, accountability, teamwork, and leadership. The learning environment will allow you to interact closely with knowledgeable instructors in a hands-on atmosphere. While all instructors are required to have at least three years of service in their respective industry, many of them have well over two decades of experience and knowledge to share.

You will focus on developing expertise in a core service, whether it’s automotive, collision, diesel, or marine, and receive the highest quality instruction. Through training and personal development, many graduates have landed careers with some of the top employers in the area.

Go In-Depth with the Automotive Technology Program

The Automotive Technology program teaches the basic principles of everything automotive, from the theory of operation and servicing of manual transmissions to the maintenance, service, and repair of brakes.

This is done through the following courses:

  • Manual Drive Train & Axles
  • Brakes

  • Engine Repair

Learn about the electrical systems that power vehicles, how air conditioning and heating fundamentals can be applied to vehicle climate control, and the ways modern internal combustion engines are repaired.

Hi-Performance Engines Require Experienced Service Technicians

Hi-performance engines require unique attention from service technicians. While those in the Hi-Performance program will learn the same techniques as those in the Automotive Technology, two key courses are added:

  • Machine Shop
  • Advanced Machine Shop & Engine Rebuilding

The Machine Shop program involves the diagnosis, reconditioning, and preparation for assembly of major engine components, including cylinder heads, camshafts, cylinder blocks, pistons, and crankshafts.

The advanced machine shop coursework involves additional instruction in advanced engine assembly, blueprinting, measurement, hi-performance rebuilding, and tuning on the Superflow Powermark engine dynanmometer.
